Main home
The 2026 rate applies when the owner or holder of a property right incurs expenditure on their main home. In other cases the rate is 36%. The general ceiling is €96,000 per property unit, spread over 10 annual instalments.
Energy relief
For eligible work on the building envelope and efficient systems. The rate depends on the property and the person incurring the cost; ceilings and filings vary by intervention.
Seismic relief
For eligible work in the specified seismic zones. Classification, technical certifications and statutory filing deadlines must be respected.
